Internal Medicine

Internal medicine is a non-surgical medical specialty concerned with diseases of the internal organs in adults. At BVMA, our internists provide comprehensive primary care to individuals aged 12 and older. They also provide consultations for difficult diagnostic problems. Our internists are skilled in disease prevention and in managing complex disorders of the body. They typically act as personal physicians and develop long-term relationships with their patients.





 

Bruce A. Bouts, R.Ph., M.D., F.A.C.P. received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Medical College of Ohio. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus and a fellowship in Echocardiography at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Dr. Bouts is a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Ohio, boad certified in Internal Medicine, and a Fellow of the Amerian College of Physicians. He has practiced Internal Medicine at Blanchard Valley Medical Associates since July of 1989. Dr. Bouts' special interests include drugs and natural drug products, health fraud, echocardiography, and electronic medical information systems.

Sheri A. Clouse, CNP graduated with an ADN in Nursing from Owens Community College in Findlay Ohio in 2004. Sheri then completed her certified diabetic educator credential in December 2010 and has since worked at Marion General Hospital as their Diabetic Education Coordinator. In April 2016, Sheri graduated from Otterbein University with a Masters of Science in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner program.  Sheri completed clinical training rotations in urgent care, hospitalist medicine, endocrinology, and internal medicine. Sheri has a particular interest in diabetes management and disease prevention. She joined the BVMA team in August 2016.

Mark R. Fox, M.D. earned his Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degrees in Organic Chemistry and his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Michigan State University. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Kalamazoo, Michigan. Dr. Fox has practiced Internal Medicine at Blanchard Valley Medical Associates since January of 1997. 

Amy Hochstettler, PA-C graduated in May of 2005 from the Universtiy of Nevada Las Vegas, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Biological Sciences. In 2010, Amy completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Kettering College of Medical Arts in Kettering, Ohio. As part of her training, Amy completed multiple clinical rotations, including internal medicine. Amy's special areas of interest in medicine include psychology and women's health. Amy joined BVMA in November 2010.

Lisa M. Knor, M.D. earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Sciences from Xavier University in Cincinnati and her Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at MCO, and is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Knor began practicing Internal Medicine at Blanchard Valley Medical Associates in August of 1989.

Stephen D. Mills, D.O. earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology and his Master of Arts Degree in Physical Education and Exercise Physiology from The Ohio State University. He went on to receive his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Mills completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Aultman Hospital/Timken Mercy Medicine Center in Canton. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and began practicing at Banchard Valley Medical Associates in July of 1992. Currently Dr. Mills serves as the Health Commissioner for the Findlay City Health Department.

Angela Willeke Ray, M.D. is a native of the Findlay area, graduating from Liberty Benton High School. After high school she attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She continued her education by obtaining a Doctorate of Medicine from The Ohio State University. Dr. Ray completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus and began her Internal Medicine practice with Blanchard Valley Medical Associates in July of 2003.

Gregory A. Ricketts, M.D. earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He continued at OSU, completing a Master's of Science in Biomedical Engineering and his Doctorate of Medicine. After pursuing a residency in Internal Medicine at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. Ricketts completed his board certification in Internal Medicine. He practiced at The Wooster Clinic in Wooster, Ohio for nearly five years before beginning his practice with Blanchard Valley Medical Associates in September of 2000.

Mandy Williams, PA-C joined Blanchard Valley Medical Associates in October of 2010 as a full-time Internal Medicine Physician Assistant. Mandy graduated from Marshall University in May of 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training and Adult Fitness. Mandy then went on to continue her education at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, obtaining her Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. As part of her extensive clinical training Mandy worked as a Physician Assistant in a variety of settings, including internal medicine, psychiatry, cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedic surgery, OB-GYN, and pediatrics. Before joining BVMA, Mandy gained valuable experience during her two years of employment as a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Mandy's areas of special interest include promoting wellness, athletic training, and adult fitness.
